Edmund Strelow Media Award :      Ed became the second secretary-treasurer of the CCA in 1959 and served until his death in 1997. He
was the baseball coach at Castlemont HS in 0akland. In the mid-60's, he moved on to Las Lomas HS.
When school enrollments were dropping in the 70's, and coaching membership declined as well, Ed
worked extremely hard to keep the CCA going. He was instrumental in the California Coaches Assn.
becoming the first allied organization to join the CIF Federated Council in 1973. He always believed
coaches should have a voice in the administration of high school athletics.
